Root Canal Therapy

When a cavity reaches the nerve of the tooth, it can cause severe pain, swelling, and infection. If the tooth can be saved, a root canal will typically be recommended to remove the infected nerve and replace it with a root filling. Once the root canal is complete, a crown is placed around the tooth to protect it. There is a common stigma around getting a root canal that it is a painful procedure. Root canal therapy doesn’t cause pain- it relieves it!
